Count the panes and the sides you want cleaned

Window cleaning is easier to quote when the glass is described clearly. A storefront may have large fixed panes, entry doors and smaller panels above them. An office can add interior partitions, conference-room glass and sidelights. Tell us which of those are included and whether you want one side or both.

Send a wide photograph of the full storefront or elevation, then a closer image showing its condition. Include the approximate height and anything between the cleaner and the glass, such as furniture, planting, signage or a narrow sidewalk. Access is part of the job, not a detail to discover on arrival.

Ordinary dirt and damaged glass are different problems

Fingerprints, dust and ordinary surface soil belong in a normal cleaning discussion. Mineral deposits, old adhesive and paint overspray need closer assessment. Some marks are within or on damaged glass and will remain after the surface is cleaned.

Tell us about tinted film, coatings, decorative treatments or recent glazing work. Provide the manufacturer care instructions where available. Tools and products should be selected for that surface. Scraping or stronger chemicals are not automatic answers to a stubborn mark, especially when the glass or film specification is unknown.

Keep your entrance usable during the work

A busy shop door is not an empty work area. Discuss when customer traffic is lower, which door can stay available and where equipment may be placed. Inside the business, staff may need to move displays, chairs or products away from the glass before the cleaner arrives.

For shared buildings, include loading rules, check-in procedures and any restrictions on exterior work. If the glass cannot be safely reached from ordinary access, the equipment and method require separate assessment. High-rise, rope-access and other specialist access work are not implied by this service page.

Combine window cleaning with the work already needed

Storefront glass can be quoted alongside retail cleaning so the entrance and sales floor are addressed together. Interior partitions can be added to an office cleaning agreement at a frequency that suits how often they are handled. Name those tasks explicitly rather than assuming every glass surface is included.

After construction, clean glass at the right point in the handover. Nearby painting, sanding and fixture installation can leave fresh residue after an earlier clean. Tell us which trades remain and whether a later touch-up is needed after merchandising or furniture delivery.

Before You Book

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you clean both the inside and outside of storefront windows?

Both sides can be discussed. The quote needs to name the sides included and establish safe access to each one.

Are frames and tracks included?

Only the frame, sill or track work listed in the quote is included. Tell us whether you want glass-only cleaning or additional detail around the panes.

Can you remove hard-water marks?

Send close-up photographs first. Mineral deposits and damaged or etched glass are different conditions, and standard cleaning may not remove all visible marks.

Do you clean tinted or filmed glass?

Provide the film or coating details and its care instructions. The suitable method must be established before work is agreed.

Can you clean high-rise exterior windows?

This service covers accessible commercial glass. Rope access, suspended platforms and other specialist high-rise work are not represented as included.
